Is your Marble Bathroom Damaged and Tired?

This lovely Nero Marquina Marble bathroom in Lechlade in the Cotswolds needed a full restoration. The sinks were covered in etch marks from acid damage, the shower walls splattered with limescale and scratches throughout.

Whilst technically a limestone, Nero Marquina is often considered black marble. It looks dull and grey when etched and once polished has a fantastic black depth of colour. 

We began with a thorough chemical and deep cleaning. Once clean we began working through the diamond grits to remove the surface scratches, acid etch damage and limescale build-up. We finished the marble polishing at a very high grit before moving onto a specialist polishing powder to really make the Marble shine. 

Once the bathroom walls, vanity tops, sinks and floor had dried out we applied multiple coats of our Colour enhancing impregnator and finished with a cotton pad machine buff to finish.

The back wall is full height glass so lots of natural light and beautiful cloud reflections to be seen in the polished marble.
