I’ve been in Bembridge this week.
This tiled floor is only a couple of years old. Its in a busy family home with a dog and young children. The floor is only a couple of years old but the floor went down and lots of building works in the house have taken place since.
Before I started I carried out a quick demo clean. This was a small section to confirm suitability of the cleaning chemicals and make sure the result was OK. The customer was delighted, the dirt had build up over a couple of years so they couldn’t believe the difference.

This is a non slip tile. It has a texture to it and this allows dirt to get stuck in the lower spots making it harder to mop clean. The grout is also very light and as this had become darker the floor looked like a collection of tiles rather than a beautiful kitchen floor. The great thing about tiled floors is they can be professionally cleaned to get them looking great again.
Once I had chosen the suitable cleaning solutions with the demo area I was able to get on with cleaning the floor. I used our oscilitating machine with a soft cleaning pad and a grout scrub brush. The floor was deep cleaned before being rinse extracted.
The client was amazed by the difference. They loved it and wanted to help keep it looking great. We had previously quoted the optional impregnator to help keep the floor looking great. They decided this was to be applied too. More information can be found here
With the seal to be applied we positioned a fan to help move the air and dry the floor. Once the moisture was at a suitable level we applied the impregnator and buffed the floor to finish the job.
